The first question that I’m sure pops into your head is “how the heck can you develop your abs without moving the abs at all?” Well, I’m going to tell you exactly how this is done and believe me, the first time you try this exercise, you’ll never look at your ab workout the same way again! You see, oftentimes, the best movements for the abs involve very little bending or flexing of the trunk at all. This is especially true of the exercises that target the deeper core muscles (the transversus and the obliques), which are responsible for stabilizing and transferring power through the core. Even though morning cardio has been embraced by bodybuilders as a "tried and true" fat loss technique, there is definitely not a unanimous agreement about its effectiveness, especially in the scientific community. Most competitive bodybuilders are die-hard advocates of doing cardio first thing in the morning before eating their first meal. They believe it will cause them to mobilize more stored body fat and increase their metabolic rate all day long. There’s quite a bit of scientific literature supporting the a.m. fasted cardio theory, but generally, the exercise physiologists and scientists tend not to buy it. They subscribe to the energy balance hypothesis, which states; as long as you burn more calories than you consume in each 24 hour period, then the time of day you burn them doesn’t matter, nor does whether you burn them from fat or carbohydrate.

 Training - Supersets - What They Are, Why They Work, and Several Unique Variations

The Superset is a very simple concept...basically, you just do two exercises back-to-back, with no rest inbetween! A quick example of this is doing a barbell curl then going directly into a cable curl. Sound simple? It definitely is. But there are many different combinations and ways to use the Superset to make it an incredibly powerful training technique. Before I get into specific combinations, you need to know what, generally speaking, makes a Superset more effective than two regular sets done with rest inbetween. There are three major reasons why Supersets are so effective for training (and there are many more specific reasons that apply only to specific Superset types): 1. Supersets increase Lactic Acid production, which helps boost Growth Hormone (GH) levels in the body. The body responds to the reduced pH (increased acidity) in the body from the production of Lactic Acid by secreting GH. GH is a powerful fat loss and muscle building hormone. 2. Supersets are time-efficient. By doing sets back-to-back, you reduce your total workout time while still doing the same amount of total work. If you're in a hurry in your workout, Supersets can get you out of the gym faster. 3. Different Superset combinations can help increase muscle fiber activation. Essentially, this means you can use specific exercise combinations to increase the intensity of work on a specific muscle, helping to develop it faster.

See how yours measures up by Kathleen Engel ANNA LEVEL - miramar, florida When I need to shock my body into burning that extra bit of fat close to a competition, I pull on my weighted vest (which fits like a glove and forces me to take deeper, more concentrated breaths) and head for the Step-mill. I alternate single-stepping for two minutes at a fast pace with two minutes at a slower pace, climbing two steps at a time and doing a kickback with each step. It's so intense, 25 minutes is all I need. Even then, I have to build up my endurance over a four-week period. The first week, I start with 4 pounds in the vest, and I add a pound each week, up to 7 pounds by the fourth week. Let me tell you, it's tougher than Spinning! Some days, I just don't want to do it. I keep saying, "Two more minutes, two more minutes," and pretty soon, I'm done.

An eccentric muscle action is when the muscle fibers lengthen to lower a load, as in the downward movement of a bicep curl. While the fibers are lengthening, they’re also contracting to return the weight to the start position in a controlled manner. Eccentric muscle actions are common in strength training with free weights, body weight exercise, and non-hydraulic exercise machines.

Did a walk in and wanted to give this incredible Las Vegas athletic club a Look. I Spoke with Club Manager Edward R. Urrea, who allowed a pass to try the Club out. I would have to say BodyConcept.com was impressed not only with the layout, but how clean and well managed this club is. BodyConcept.com has seen and have been members of many clubs and only wish we had one here in Arizona as nice and well mantained. We found all the equipment clean and in working order. We also found the equipment to be top of the line commercial grade and not more than 1-5 years old.

The "V-Taper" is a defining characteristic of every great physique. Wide up top with a narrow waist…you know what I’m talkin’bout! Are you “wid” it? The “V” is mainly associated with a wide back, but it’s important to realize that the taper starts up top with full, round, well developed shoulders. The meatier your “caps”, the narrower the waist will appear. That’s what I’ talkin bout! Now don’t be a chump. Let’s do this. The deltoid (shoulder) is a large three-headed muscle group consisting of the anterior (front), medial (side) and posterior (rear) deltoid. The basic function of the deltoid muscle is to rotate and lift the arm. In order to develop massive, round CANNON BALL DELTS all three heads of the shoulder must be fully developed. It is also important to develop the trapezius muscles as well since they extend from the neck down between the shoulder blades. Shoulder training involves two basic types of exercises: presses and raises. The following routine is designed for overall development of the deltoids and trapezius muscles. Although very basic, it is a foolproof way to get freaky development up top. It is the very routine that has given me the development I have today, and it will work for you! You know what time it is?
